Serene

Of all my images, here are the ones that instill a sense of inner peace in me when I look at them. They make me feel good and relaxed. I would love to say that the creation process was also a peaceful, meditative-like experience, but that would be stretching the reality a bit too hard. In practice, most were created standing in weird positions, being tired after getting out of bed at unreasonable times, swearing on non-cooperative gear, rushing for the light, fighting with the wind, in the cold or even with wet feet sometimes! In short, there is sometimes a bizarre disconnection between the experience of creating a photograph and the experience of looking at the final image. I actually love both of them. Of course, the viewer will only ever know about the second one, which I guess is why I decided to call this portfolio "Serene” rather than “chaotic” ;-)
